Bubba Watson is known for doing things differently, like having a pink shaft in his driver, firing golf balls through water melons and being one quarter of the golf boy band “The Golf Boys.”

  • Golf Insurance Matters

The latest article in our how to series turns the spotlight on some of the unexpected things that can happen at the driving range – from ricochets to self-inflicted injuries – and why it pays to be insured. With winter closing in and less daylight hours in which to hit the course the best place to keep swinging is at the driving range. The driving range is a great hangout for golfers of all skill levels and abilities. Given that your local driving range could be filled with hackers and heroes it’s not impossible that an innocent trip to whack some balls could end in disaster, injury or a sizeable legal bill.

  • La Reservae Golf Club, Costa Del Sol

A new course designed by Cabell B. Robinson, La Reserva Club De Golf had only recently opened but I would never have guessed. On arrival it was obvious the course was in perfect condition. The opening hole at La Reserva is a straight par four with well designed bunkers and an attractive green – a good, if understated opener, but on the 2nd tee, however, the front nine opens up before you and you get an idea of the challenge that lies ahead. Set out in a small valley with wonderful changes in elevation, attractive contours and great scenery, the next eight holes weave back in forth in fantastic fashion.

  • Lie of the Land

A caddie at The Old Course at St Andrews, Turnberry or Troon would tell you that it takes time to get to know the subtleties and nuances of links land and learn the bounce of the ball. Often slopes and natural features can funnel the ball towards the hole, squeeze extra yards from a drive or prevent a ball from going in a hazard.

SAN DIEGO -- Lamkin Corporation, the original manufacturer of premium golf grips, is very proud to announce the addition of PGA TOUR players Keegan Bradley and Brendan Steele to its endorsement team. The new partnership formalizes the company's longstanding relationship with both players, who have used Lamkin's best-selling Crossline grips throughout their professional golf careers.
"I am extremely proud to officially welcome Keegan and Brendan to the Lamkin team," said Lamkin CEO, Bob Lamkin. "Their on-course accomplishments are outstanding, of course, but it is their exceptional character and passion for the game that make them ideal ambassadors for the Lamkin brand."
Keegan Bradley has won three PGA TOUR events, including his dramatic win at the 2011 PGA Championship during his breakthrough Rookie-of-the-Year season. He is currently ranked 16th in the Official World Golf Ranking. Also joining the Tour in 2011, Brendan Steele secured a PGA TOUR victory at the 2011 Valero Texas Open and has since amassed over 20 Top 25 finishes.
In addition to continuing to play Lamkin golf grips, Keegan and Brendan will be prominently featured in a number of Lamkin's 2014 advertising, promotional and social media campaigns. Both players will also provide Lamkin Grips with ongoing product development and player testing feedback. Their most current grip of choice is the Crossline ACE 3GEN, made with the patented Advanced Cohesive Elastomer compound. Lamkin's proprietary ACE material, combined with the distinctive Crossline surface pattern, provides golfers with an exceptionally secure grip connection in all weather conditions.
Lamkin is also represented by Arnold Palmer, arguably the greatest golfer and golf ambassador in the history of the game. Mr. Palmer has been using Lamkin grips on his equipment for more than 60 years, becoming an official spokesman for the company in 1997.
